The very first house I sold back in 1979 was a new construction home. I have literally helped hundreds of buyers build or buy new construction homes in Omaha since that time. Did you know that most developers in the Omaha area will not sell lots to the public? They require you to go through one of the pre-selected builders they have chosen to be in their subdivision. If you do not want to use one of the few builders for that area, you cannot build there. No builder can obtain lots and build in all areas.
